God’s Love We Deliver Celebrates With Halston and the New York Edition
Last night at the New York Edition, Pat Cleveland, Carlos Souza, Princess Alexandra of Greece, and more gathered to remember the 40th anniversary of Studio 54 and the life of Andy Warhol. The event was held in tandem with God’s Love We Deliver’s 32-year anniversary.
The organization’s president, Karen Pearl, was the first to note that “there are a lot of things that we have in common, and obviously some things that we don’t, but we’re celebrating everything that we have done for the community over the 32 years that we’ve been operating.”
Harry Brant, Stella Schnabel, the Edition’s Ben Pundole, and Michael Avedon mingled and sipped Champagne as they took in photographs of Warhol by artist Karen Bystedt.
“We are really proud that we believe in two things: One is that food is love, and the other is that food is medicine,” continued Pearl. “We deliver meals that are catered to people’s specific medical needs, so they get the right food for them. But we also are very proud that we deliver love. And we deliver that with respect and dignity every time we ring a doorbell—245,000 doorbells a year.”
